Okay, ich vergess immer was zu schreiben... bzw ich hab keine Zeit und da ich grade franzoesisch hab... dacht ich mach ich doch mal nen eintrag auf Deutsch (okay vielleicht ist das unlogisch)

Okay ich bin schon voll aufgeregt wegen Thanksgiving... naja..... maaaal schaun... aber mit diesem ganzen Truthahn und so... OMG

 Naja mit meiner Gastfamilie laeuftz total gut, aber man merkt schon nen paar kulturelle unterschiede.. v.a. wenn mein Gastvadda und ich diskutieren.

Aber Kirche hier ist so toll... es ist total gechillt und Jugengruppe roooockt ...

Okay, naja... Schule is immer noch total einfach... Aber jetzt hoer ich mal lieber auf... die Lehrer in der Buecherei schaun schon XD

Okay seriously Halloween is craaaaaazy here!!! they are like decoration everything!!!! seriously omg^^

Actually I planned on going Trick-or-Treat -ing with my host brothers and watch all the little kids come to our house but then Tory invited me to join her to her church halloween party!!

It all worked out and so I met here there... I was a ton of fun adn there were so mcuh little kids who were soooo excited^^ I was a devil xD ... We met up with her friends and then amused ourselves by doing the funny kids games  it was so fun and there was so much candyy (by the way I caught a mouse eating it this morning!!) anyway it was fun!! and way over the top here of course!!!

After our great season we had a volleyball banquet with all players, coaches and families.

It started at 7 and Rachel and her mom picked me up from my house. First all players had to parade in front of the parents and were the first to go to the buffet!! Everybody had brought food so there so quite a bit ... While we were eating there was a video with pictures from everybody running (we got on CD later)!!

After that the headcoach held a speech and thanked all the helpers.

Then the coaches got up and held a speech about their team and every particular player. I went from FreshB - Varsity.

So we were 2nd and Jaffe got up the do her speech. Then the big surprise... she called me up first and thanked me for being the manager... The girls got me a HUGE gift... a smors (best things ever!!!!) maker so that i can make them for you guys when i come home and the smors supplies ^^ and then a picture of us all and stuff it was so cute!! And everybody got a necklage from volleyball!!...NICE! i am wearing it right now xD

Then the JV team was up and they were really close to their coach they gave each other so cute presents and speeches. And finally varsity was up... that part nearly made me cry because some of them were gonna leave our school this year so it was their last season. it was all very emotional!!!

All in all a great evening!!

Yeah, I know this is a little delayed but I've been so busy and tired from the daily life here that I couldn't make it earlier.

Okay, I started of really early because my Dad called at 7am to tell me happy birthday...So I get ready and called my mum back who had called in the meantime. I just hung up and I got a call from my grandpa, Brigitte, my aunt and my cousine who even sang for me ;D In german and in Englisch.

Then we had breakfast with Waffels that Tony made and I got some presents of my hostfamily!

After that they dropped my of at Church and I went to Qdoba (I don't know how it is spelled) with some kids of my youth group. It is a mexican food place and it was really nice. One girl got me a cupcake and other one a really big fancy ice cream. All in all I really and too much food

After that my host family and I went to take family pictures I even got to be on a few. Then we had dinner and headed back to church because I had youth group. They sang me "Happy Birthday" like students do it hear... omg it was the worst version I ever heard  everybody just shouts the words as wrong and loud as possible. All in all I had a great day!

But I of course forgot to take pictures....

On Thursday 8/28/08 we had our first volleyball point game. Well, as I am the manager of the team I didn't played but took notes on the playing of the others. But it was amazing. The whole little gym was full of people and the entire freshman football team (ca. 40 boys) cheered for us. Sports are really big there. Of course our team won  and after the game Jillian's parents provided some food for the team. After that we went in the big gym were the varsity (best team) game was on.

The cheerleaders were there and 50 of 70 varsity football players. It was an exciting game because the other team was good to but we (MVHS) won 3:2. Gosh! They were playing so good!!

Our next game is on Wednesday 9/3/08

Yesterday on 8/29/08, I saw my first football game. I was very excited about it because everybody told me that it was a really big thing and that Highlands Ranch are our rivals.

I noticed it already on the way to the stadion, the traffic was terrible and the cars were full of shouting teens. Well, I met up with some girls of my vb-team and we made our way to the MVHS side. There were security people standing there and leading the Highlands Ranch fans on the on side and the MV fans on the other. Parents and younger children were sitting in between the students. Everybody was wearing Vista - chlothes or the colors of our school (Gold/yellow and green). Some students had even there faces painted.

But that was nothing compared to the cheering when the game started. I didn't understood that game at all I just did what the people around me were doing. Our cheerleaders were animating the crowd all the time and in the break our pumps cheerleaders did a performance. And that when girl that amazing things with some sticks and dancing. That was because we were the home team.

After all we lost the game... but it was a great experience and I'm looking forward to the next one!!

So today (Monday, 08/18/08) was my first school day at MVHS and it was sooo strange... like walking around knowing nobody... well let's start from the beginning

Of course (!!) I overslept in the morning so I had like 5 min. to get dressed and grab my things before Freddie took my to the Grand Canyon High School (this is where my bus leaves) and we waited for the bus, which didn't arrived. So she had to drive me all the way to MVHS. So I got in and was supposed to meet my counsolor, which wasn't there yet and neither was the girl that is showing my around... so a lady from the couseling office took me to my first class

U.S. History: the teacher is pretty cool but well I hardly get anything... but after it, my guide girl was there and she took me to

Interior Design: which is a cool subject actually... and after that to

Concert Choir: which should be clear to everyone, right? After that

Physics were on... oh gosh... boring as in Germany an unfortunately there will be a test tomorrow... after that

English II: was on... I like the people sitting on my table but the lesson was soo boring about myths and archetypes just like

well then finally it was LUNCHTIME!! I set on the table with several senior and my guide ... that was fun but after it

French AP level was on... actually it was easy and fun, too not as

Algebra II/Trigonometrie that was next... oh it wasn't easy getting all these words in English but since we did the stuff about one or two years ago it was okay... so school was over at 2.30pm

And I got to the counceling office to get some more paper work done...

After that I had volleyball practice until 5 so finally FUN!!
